EIWAA Group, a leader in setting global standards for industrial inspection and quality assurance, is seeking a highly experienced QC Inspection Engineer with active API 653 and API 570 certifications. The successful candidate will lead quality assurance and quality control operations for in-service inspection of storage tanks and piping projects across Sharjah's oil, gas, and industrial sectors.
This is a senior-level, hands-on leadership role requiring deep technical knowledge of API codes, NDT methodologies, and pressure testing protocols. In-Service Inspection Leadership:
Lead and execute in-service inspection activities for storage tanks (aboveground and belowground) and piping systems (process, utility, and pipelines).
Ensure all inspection activities comply with API 653 (tank inspection, repair, alteration, and reconstruction) and API 570 (piping inspection codes).
NDT Team Management:
Manage and coordinate NDT inspection teams across multiple methodologies, including:
Ultrasonic Testing (UT) – thickness measurement, flaw detection
Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) – surface crack detection on ferromagnetic materials
Eddy Current Testing (ECT) – surface and subsurface flaw detection
Penetrant Testing (PT) – surface opening defect detection
Visual Testing (VT) – baseline and detailed visual inspections
Pressure Testing (Hydro-testing) Management:
Lead hydro-testing activities for:
Pressure vessels
Storage tanks
Compressors and air compressors
Piping systems and test packs
WPS/PQR & Welder Qualification:
Prepare and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
Conduct Welder Qualification Tests in accordance with AWS, ASME, and BS EN standards.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills for welding of Carbon Steel (CS), Aluminum, and Stainless Steel.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure strict compliance with project specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), API codes, and client requirements.
Review and approve technical documentation including:
NDT reports
Pressure testing reports and hydro-test packages
Test packs (mechanical completion)
Final quality dossiers for project handover
