Technical Superintendent – Yacht Management (Chief Engineer Background Preferred)

Phoenix Yacht Management, a rising hub of luxury yachting based in Dubai, is seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to join our growing and dynamic team. This full-time position can be worked remotely or from our Dubai office, offering flexibility for the right candidate. We are looking for an individual with a strong maritime engineering background – ideally a former Chief Engineer or someone with previous yacht management experience and a minimum of 5 years’ seagoing experience in a senior position.

As Technical Superintendent, you will report to the Head of Technical Department and work closely with a team of specialist managers responsible for various vessels in our fleet. Your primary focus will be the technical overview of multiple yachts, ensuring compliance with Flag and Class requirements, monitoring onboard maintenance, managing technical issues, supporting vessel surveys and shipyard periods/refits, and assisting with insurance claim management. You will also be involved in crew management, including interviews and training, as well as the development and continual improvement of internal technical management procedures.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent relationship management and communication skills (verbal and written), proficient in business IT systems and Microsoft Office, and able to travel worldwide at short notice.
